So there are many situations where a general contractor and an architect may be talking about an issue and the architect says "OK, we're gonna paint it blue." And the general contractor can say "OK, we're gonna go, we'll go paint that wall blue." Because the architect has agency with the owner, meaning that the architect can speak for the owner.
