ARE Live and In-Person on October 20th
3 architects. 3 ARE strategies.
Join us along with AIA Chicago and YAF Chicago on October 20th for a live, in-person episode of ARE Live featuring 3 young architects each taking a different approach to the ARE. The event will take place at 1871 - Chicago's center for technology and entrepreneurship.
Come have a beer from Revolution, hear their stories, and figure out which strategy is best for you.
Thursday, October 20th
222 Merchandise Mart Plaza, Suite 1212, Chicago
Panel Discussion 6pm - 7pm CST
Networking Reception 7pm - 8pm CST
In this live episode, Mike Newman will be joined by a panel of 3 young architects who are each taking a different route to the Architect Registration Exam (ARE). We will talk with one panelist taking the entire exam in ARE 4.0, one taking the 5-Exam Plan, and one taking the entire exam in ARE 5.0.:
- Laura Crane, Associate at bKL Architecture LLC
- Sarah Hitchcock, Gensler
- Greg Kristo, Stantec Architecture
Hear each of our panelists discuss their approach to the ARE including their study strategies, resources they used or are planning on using, their exam order and scheduling, and advice they'd give other young architects or the best advice they've received themselves. Join us and get some first-hand tips and advice to help you choose your own ARE path.
A networking reception will follow the panel discussion, during which our founder and CEO, Marc Teer, will be presented with the AIA Illinois 2016 John Wellborn Root Honor Award. An honor awarded to outstanding architects licensed for 10 years or less. Come celebrate Marc with us and network with the local architecture community! Food and drink will be provided.
